Allison & Matthew first got to know each other by exploring such popular Pasadena and SoCal activities as watching "En man som heter Ove" at the Lammle Theatre in Pasadena, celebrating Halloween by watching Twilight Zone & also Caltech's nitrogen-frozen "pumpkin drop," enjoying a fika at Zola's café, people-watching at Disneyland, and trudging around the Getty for an entire day. Several (hundred) coffees later (many of which were provided by world-renowned barista, Jamey), Allison & Matthew are very in love and will be forever, and have two special dogs, Kevin & Holly, who will share in all their future escapades.

Although accompanied by family at Disneyland, Matthew & Allison decided on a whim to break away from the group to eat lunch at Blue Bayou at exactly 2:30 PM (lest they lose their reservation). Although both of them knew what was about to unfold, the significance & impact of the moment was not lost on Allison (or Matthew) when Matthew dropped to one knee and asked Allison to marry him. Allison said yes, followed by tears of joy from both her and Matthew, followed by some very good food, followed by a celebratory rest of the day at Disneyland with both families.
