Question

How do we get to the ceremony and reception?

Answer

You have to take the Gondola from the town or Mountain Village up to the San Sophia station (mid-station). From there will be a short ~5 minute walk to the ceremony site. We will then take the Gondola back down to the Village for the reception.

What time should we arrive?

Answer

You should plan to be seated about 15 minutes before the ceremony start time. Keep in mind, it’s about a 5 minutes walk from the top of the Gondola to the ceremony area!

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Rain or shine the ceremony will be outdoors. The cocktail hour has both indoor and outdoor spaces. The reception will be indoors.

What about the altitude?

Answer

Telluride is at about 8,500ft and the ceremony will be at 10,500ft. When coming from sea level, it’s recommended staying a night in Denver to start to acclimate. If you find the altitude is affecting you, there is an oxygen bar in town or little cans of oxygen you can buy. There are also some powders, medicines, or natural remedies you can take in preparation. Make sure you are hydrating BEFORE you arrive and once in Telluride. Also keep in mind, alcohol works faster at altitude!!!
