We're Getting Married!

In the month of August 2013, Alyssia and Jerrell met each other at the Delmar Loop's parking lot in St. Louis, Missouri. Jerrell and a group of guys he was with began to park while Alyssia and a group of females she was with were walking up to the car they drove together in, which was parked next to them. Before touching the door handle, the guys that were with Jerrell started flirting and exchanging numbers with the group of females Alyssia was hanging out with. While that was going on, Jerrell made eye contact with Alyssia and couldn't say a word, but stare...Alyssia was waiting on him to say something but didn't hear him say a word. So, she said, "Well, are you going to say something?" He was still frozen. After that, the group of females she was with got in the car and drove off. Seating in the backseat, something told her to look back and seen Jerrell pointing at the car, saying, " I want her! I want her!". Alyssia just shook her head and grin. Later on, that night, Alyssia was still with the same group she was with from earlier. Meanwhile, one of the girls got a phone call from one of the guys from earlier. Five seconds in the conversation, Jerrell asked for Alyssia's number, and they began talking to each other all night till one fell asleep. After that, they started to hang out one night and had a nice, chill time. When the night was almost over, Jerrell popped up the question of asking her to be her girlfriend. Their relationship became official on August 14, 2013. It was love at first sight. 💕

This year will make 10 years of Alyssia and Jerrell being together. On August 14, 2022, they celebrated their anniversary with a picnic, so Alyssia thought...Jerrell had everything planned out and never mentioned the surprise he had for her. Alyssia prepared their picnic with homemade sandwiches, fresh salad from Bread Co "Panera", fruit, and wine. They both ended up with the same color outfit and were ready to head out. Jerrell gave her the address to the spot to have the picnic, which was on top of a hill in Newport Beach, California, looking over the water. It was breathtaking. Jerrell showed her the way up to their picnic spot and surprised her with roses, rose petals which was form a heart, a table and pillows to sit looking at the view of Newport Beach, and a sign saying, "I love you" handwritten in chalk. Alyssia couldn't believe that he was the mastermind of the idea of having such a fancy picnic. She was so in shock of him coming up with the idea that she was constantly thinking the spot wasn't for them but for someone else as she chuckled. Jerrell began to grin and said, "Just sit down.". She sat and looked over the view of the water still shocked at the fact that he thought of having a romantic picnic. While she was looking out to the beach, Jerrell pulled out a blue case really quickly, which made Alyssia turn her head. Jerrell started to studder, trying to ask for her hand in marriage, but she quickly told him yes right in the middle of it. After that, a couple of his family and Alyssia's mom on one of their phones came up recording what had happen. Alyssia was even more in shock and couldn't cry from this great surprise. That day became the highlight of time together from being friends, girlfriend and boyfriend, to now fiancé, and soon to be Mr. & Mrs. Fox-Skinner!
