Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive at Princes Lawn, Royal Botanic Gardens, Melbourne between 4:00pm and 4:15pm. Please allow ample time for parking and getting seated, before the processional begins at 4:30pm.

Question

Is there parking at the ceremony location?

Answer

Yes! There is plenty of parking located around the Royal Botanic Gardens. Street parking is limited, however, you can enter the Gardens from any of the 10 available gates. Please see this link for further details. https://www.rbg.vic.gov.au/melbourne-gardens/getting-here/

Question

Do you have a registry / what gift should I bring?

Answer

Although what we want most is to have great night with you, we will have a wishing-well for those who wish to contribute to our 'honeymoon fund'. However, if you would prefer to bring a physical gift, we have created a small registry of items for our home. Below is the link to our registry (please copy and paste the url) https://mygiftregistry.com.au/id/alyssa-and-sams-wedd/

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that phones and cameras are put away during our wedding ceremony. Our wonderful photographer Kelsea will make sure we have captured the amazing day.

Question

Is there parking at the reception location?

Answer

Half Acre offers street parking. There is also some paid parking located near the venue.

Question

Will there be options for dietary restrictions?

Answer

Of course! We will have a variety of options to meet everyone's dietary needs. When submitting your RSVP please indicate any allergies or dietary restrictions, this will allow us to plan accordingly.

Question

Are children allowed at the wedding?

Answer

We have chosen to make our special day an adults-only celebration to ensure all guests, especially parents, can fully immerse themselves in the joy of the occasion. We hope this advance notice means you are still able to join us for our big day! Your understanding means the world to us, and we cannot wait to celebrate with you. If you would like to bring your children to our wedding recovery, you are more than welcome! We would love to celebrate with them, as the weekend comes to a close.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

To ensure we can accomodate all guests comfortably within the venue's capacity, we ask that only invited guests attend our wedding ceremony and reception. You will find the details about your party size, including whether it includes a plus one, on your invitation. We truly appreciate your understanding, and cannot wait to celebrate with you.

Question

What should I wear to the wedding?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding day is Formal. We ask that you select a dress or suit you feel comfortable in. Please note that the ceremony will be fully outdoors, while the reception will include both indoor and some outdoor settings. The ceremony will be located on a private lawn, at the gardens. Anyone who is concerned with heels sinking into the grass may opt for a block heel, but that is completely up to you.

Question

Can I bring my own confetti?

Answer

Although we would love to have confetti thrown after we say 'I do' unfortunately the Royal Botanic Gardens has asked that there be no confetti thrown of any kind. Please do not bring your own, we will have an alternative available on the day.
