Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Alyssa Robson and Will Holland
Our wedding falls on Memorial Day Weekend, so we wanted to offer some places to visit and see! While we can't take you to a Virginia Football game, we will spare you the loss. We hope you will take time to visit some of Will and I's favorite spots in Charlottesville. Additionally, our wedding is on a Sunday and we wanted to invite you to attend our church, Center, that morning at 9:15 am. The address is 475 Westfield Road Charlottesville, VA 22901. Below you will find a link!

The Monticello Trail

503 Thomas Jefferson Parkway, Charlottesville, VA 22902

I (Alyssa) love to go on walks here. It is a 4-mile loop, 2 up and 2 down. The elevation is very minimal, and the trail is really beautiful. You don't have to walk the entire trail, but I would recommend spending some time here enjoying God's creation.

Ragged Mountain Reservoir

Ragged Mountain Reservoir

1730 Reservoir Road, Charlottesville, VA 22903

Above is a photo of Will at the Reservoir after our engagement. We love this place! It has several trails to walk on, spots on the water we like to set up a hammock at, and plenty of fishing spots (fishing recommendation from Will).

UVA's Rotunda and Lawn

UVA's Rotunda and Lawn

1826 University Avenue, Charlottesville, VA 22904

The Rotunda is definitely a site you need to see while in Charlottesville. Will and I love to go on walks around the Rotunda and Lawn, sit on the Rotunda steps and talk, and attend many fun events with our friends at both locations. Above is a photo I (Alyssa) took on my way to class!

UVA Pickleball Courts

UVA Pickleball Courts

210 Emmet Street S, Charlottesville, VA 22903

When we're not in class, leading Young Life, or working... you will find us at the pickleball courts (mainly Will, but Alyssa only twice a year at the RUF tournaments). Will is on UVA's Club Pickleball Team, and we really do have a fun time playing together.

Charlottesville Historic Downtown Mall

Charlottesville Historic Downtown Mall

108 5th St NE, Charlottesville, VA 22902

The Downtown Mall is a great place to shop, eat, or explore. Will and I ran a half marathon through this area and recently went on our Christmas date to an AMAZING sushi spot on the strip called "Ten." Above is a photo from that date.

Carter's Mountain Orchard

Carter's Mountain Orchard

1435 Carters Mountain Trail, Charlottesville, VA 22902

Carters Mountain is the best. You can pick apples, order delicious donuts and food, enjoy apple cider, and have an assortment of cocktails. We spent 4th of July with some friends here in 2024, as seen above.

For an extended list of places to visit or hotels to stay in, see this document:

Center Church is the local body of believers Will and I worship Jesus and do life with. We have grown in all areas of our lives here- especially over the past year as Will became the set-up team leader and I became the leader of the 3's classroom (pictured above).
