So the first cell phone was invented in 1973 and then came the internet 1983. Both of them combined became a Pandora's box of so many apps and websites... yes including Facebook in 2008, the first ever non-official high school dating app! But that is not how we met. Let's travel back to the future!! The year is 2021, and the fall was more pleasant than any other year, the kind of fall you would call an Autumn - you know, the fancy one. In this year of the future the cell phone had become a smart phone with official dating apps. With being a responsible adult and being stuck with a boring day to day routine, two individuals decided that they wanted more to life....maybe somebody to share the their life with, someone to complain about having to be a responsible adult with... and therefore downloaded one of these amazing dating apps. For the first few days, there was no luck. Then on of those fine AUTUMN mornings..."chimeeeee!" It's a match!! And the first message I (Tushar) sent was "Alyssssssaaaaa" which then got replied by 'Tushaaaarrrrr'. I suppose I should have known then that two crazies together is probably not a good combo, (but hey remember the boring adult life?) I then asked 'how are you' and silence.... for the next 15 hours. So I knew my monthly subscription was not worth it. Then came a 2nd AUTUMN day with another chime, it was a finally a response. I decided to seize the opportunity, cut the small talk and ask to meet for a dinner date! Then came one of those crisp AUTUMN evenings on the night of October 19th of 2021, when we first saw each other under the Walt Whitman bridge on the Jersey side at this small Mexican restaurant called....well that is not important. Our first dinner was more talking than eating, and it was the only time since we have not finished a plate of nachos!! That single date turned into many dates, crisp autumn turned into winter, fresh spring and then beautiful summer! So yeah, between the cell phone invention and dating app subscription lies the story of US, the best thing we found on the internet. P.S : The not so important restaurant has been our anniversary dinner date for the last 4 years, well except for our wedding day!
