Located 9 miles from the Sarasota/Bradenton Airport with taxis available and 1.9 miles from the venue, this hotel has complimentary breakfast with hot and cold choices daily from 7 AM - 10 AM and gluten free items. Reviews are mixed - this is more of a motel set-up, with doors to the outside, instead of a hallway. However, it is logistically quite convenient, and offers a lot for the price, including outside parking at no charge and a Senior Discount. And an outdoor pool! Take a look for yourself! The closest and most convenient airport, located only 9.2 miles (18 minutes) from the venue, via local roads. For folks coming from Ohio, the Midwest, or satellite East Coast cities, Allegiant flies into St. Pete with very affordable flights (limited baggage). For Ohio guests, if you book soon, there is a great Columbus - Sarasota flight from Thursday to Sunday that will work well for the wedding weekend.

Located 137 miles (2.5 - 3 hrs due to traffic) NE of the venue via I-4 W and I-75 S, Orlando is a great option for cheap flights from many locations across the US. For those visiting Florida for the first time and interested in Disney World, this will be your destination airport. If you plan to rent a car from this airport, please be advised to sign up for your rental agency's free preferred car service prior to booking your rental car so you can submit your driver's license and payment in advance and head straight to the car lot. If you need to wait in line, you may be there for 2+ hours (this happened to Stephan and Alyssa). Using a lesser known car provider is not recommended if you do not currently have a major car insurance. There are also tolls on the route to the hotel, which you can pay with cash if you bring $5-$10 in quarters.
Travel Note
Many of the airports are within driving distance of the venue, however there is not reliable transportation to get between the airport and Sarasota, if you are not able to take Uber/Lyft. This may require you to get a rental car. We recommend talking to other guests to coordinate so the cost is not too high! If you will not have a rental car, make sure to check the prices on Uber/Lyft between your lodging and the venue. If renting a car from Orlando, please see the note above on the Orlando airport for important information. Also, you will most likely encounter toll roads. The most expensive but most convenient way to pay any tolls will be with the rental car company's SunPass, however we do not recommend that option due to cost. The tolls you encounter take cash, and are typically less than $3 per toll. We do recommend having $5 - $10 in quarters on hand, for unattended booths. If you do not have a SunPass, and you do not pay the toll, you will be tolled by mail, which will include a service fee from your rental car company. This recently happened to Alyssa & Stephan and can be from $20 - $30 depending on the rental car policies. Better to have quarters with you!
