Although we love your little ones, we hope you can enjoy a night off to celebrate with us! We kindly ask that only adults are in attendance, as this is an 18+ wedding and we are not making any exceptions. Thank you for understanding!
While we would love to offer a plus-one to all in attendance, we are unable to do so at this time. Our friends and family who have been given a plus-one will see options for both themselves and "Guest" when submitting an RSVP.
Yes! Please make sure to RSVP before October 3rd.
Yes! The dress code is Formal: Gothic, dark, and elegant. We are looking for darker, moody colors, but don't be afraid to add a little bit of flair. If you're not sure what to wear, black is a safe color. Just make sure you're comfortable enough to dance! For the ladies, you can wear anything from a sophisticated evening gown to a fun, dark colored midi. For the gentlemen, you can wear anything from a three-piece suit to slacks and a blazer. Active duty or veteran friends and family are not required to be in uniform. If you're like Alyssa and feel the constant need for dress code approval for weddings, don't hesitate to reach out! :)
No. Although it is Halloween, we kindly ask that you attend without a costume. (Plus, it's a little hard to boogie if you're dressed up as Shrek...)
Both! Our ceremony will be held outside, so make sure to choose shoes (or heels) that will be comfortable for you to wear in grass. Our cocktail hour and reception will primarily be inside with the option to go outside whenever you please!
Our ceremony will start promptly at 3pm, so please make sure to arrive at the venue 15-30 minutes prior! Any guests that arrive after the ceremony starts will not be granted access to the ceremony. If you are unable to attend the ceremony, or arrive late, that's okay! You can join us at our cocktail hour & reception :)
Yes! We will have Mediterranean food, served buffet-style. Entrées include chicken kebobs, falafel, and beef & lamb gyros.
Yes! Alyssa has Celiac so we know how challenging it is to find options that suit your lifestyle or dietary restrictions! Please make sure to note any when you RSVP.
Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport and Knoxville Airport are both approximately an hour from our venue in Etowah. Other options include Hartsfield-Jackson in Atlanta (2.5 hours) or Nashville International (3 hours).
No. We recommend looking into hotels in Athens or exploring Airbnb, VRBO, or cabin rentals somewhere close to the venue.
The venue has plenty of parking available. For our guests who intend to drink, however, please arrive with a designated driver or take an Uber/Lyft/etc.
Yes, however, the ceremony will be held in grass. There is a ramp to enter the reception as well as wheelchair-accessible bathrooms.
Yes! We will serve beer, wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverages at no cost to our guests. We will have multiple bartenders, so make sure to bring a little cash if you would like to tip! :)
No, we have a honeymoon fund instead! By the time of our wedding, we will have been living together for more than 4 years, and we have pretty much everything we need (Alyssa is impulsive and buys everything she wants as soon as she sees it). However, if you would like to help, you can donate by going to our "Honeymoon Fund" page :)
No. Our ceremony will include some religious elements, as Shane is Catholic, but this is not a nuptial mass. You are not expected to participate in any readings or prayers if you do not wish! :)
