Red Rock Canyon NCA Scenic Drive Bureau of Land Management
Scenic Drive (13-mile loop) Take a leisurely drive with plenty of spots to stop, walk around, and enjoy the views. Reservations are required in advance (see link). Adress: 1000 Scenic Loop Drive, Las Vegas, NV 89161 Scenic Drive: Relaxing 13-mile loop with stops and picnic spots (reservation required). Lost Creek & Petroglyph Wall: Easy 1-mile walk with rock art and seasonal waterfall. Pine Creek Canyon: Gentle 3-mile trail with scenic views. Calico Hills: Colorful rock formations you can explore at your own pace. Keystone Thrust: Moderate 2.2-mile walk with desert vistas and a fault line.
Valley of Fire State Park
Beautiful red rock formations, petroglyphs, and less crowded in the cooler season. Scenic drives and hiking opportunities for all experience levels.
Mount Charleston
If it has snowed there is sledding, skiing, and snowboarding along with mountain biking if it has not snowed. There is also a cozy mountain lodge. Scenic drive with many picnic and hiking opportunities.

Boulder City Historic District
Small historic town for those who want a slower, quieter experience while enjoying the sights. Several large antique stores, boutique stores, restaurants, and a quaint cafe. Close to Hoover Dam. Ethel M Chocolates Factory & Cactus Garden
Stroll the decorated cactus garden (often lit up for the holidays). Chocolate store inside offers sweets and hot chocolate.
Fremont Street Experience
Open-air light shows, live music, and plenty of people-watching. More adult focused than family friendly.
Bellagio Conservatory & Botanical Gardens
Stunning outdoor fountain shows and indoor seasonal garden displays.
Town Square Las Vegas
Open air shopping center with many shops, restaurants, cafes, a movie theater, and several activities that are all within walking distance. South of the Strip with easy access to the highway system.
Fashion Show Las Vegas
Large indoor shopping mall that is on the Strip. Free parking and you can easily walk onto the Strip from here (North side). Has a Hello Kitty Cafe, Lego store, and many other popular stores.
Downtown Summerlin
Located on the West side edge of Las Vegas, this is large open air shopping center with many shops, restaurants, and cafes. There is a nearby baseball stadium, Red Rock Casino Resort, and also close to Red Rock Parks.
