In 2019, Alyssa and Mike matched on both Bumble and Hinge (so it was obviously meant to be)! For the first few months of dating, they would go everywhere together; run errands, go shopping, go to the movies, go to hockey games—you know, the usual things couples do. In February 2020, they took a trip to Florida. About two weeks after their trip, there were no more random trips to Target or Home Goods and all their time had to be spent in quarantine together! Good thing they really love each other!

In the midst of the pandemic, Alyssa and Mike had plans to be go to brunch at Liberty House in Jersey City, however, Mike had another plan. As they were driving in, Mike was pointing out all the buildings on one side of the park saying things like “this used to be this, that used to be that.” All of this was just a distraction to prevent Alyssa from seeing Anastasia’s car parked in the lot (little did she know, Athena and Joey were there too). As they started walking towards the restaurant, the three stooges who were hiding, popped out from behind a building and came running towards them. At that moment, Mike got down on one knee and asked the most important question of all “Will you marry me?” In all the excitement, hugging, crying, and kissing, Alyssa never really answered the question! Nothing could beat the feelings they had at that moment and that day, except maybe brunch, which they never got!
