We met in school when we both decided to take a drama class. He was always going above and beyond for the class and he was always so friendly. One rainy day I saw him playing his ukaulele and i went up to ask what he was playing. Instead of being a normal person and give me the song title he whips out his phone and searches for a youtube video of the song, he then proceeds to leave it with me, a complete stranger. After this encounter we spoke a few times after that when finally about a week after talking we realized we have an unforgettable spark and we finally made things official. Now almost five years later we are engaged, happy as ever, and getting married!
Let me start by saying our proposal was the best birthday gift a girl could ever ask for. A family outing to the snow was in our books for a while and when the trip was right around the corner everyone decided to keep secrets from me (the future bride) of course i didn't notice anything unusual because Michael always stated he wasn't ready for marriage and he was gonna drag it out until we were financially ready. Which I fully understood and respected but this never stopped me from always expressing how I couldn't wait to marry him. So there we are in big bear in the snow for a nice family trip for my birthday when we decide to race down this hill in our sleds and of course Michael brings in his old acting skills that started it all. Michael faked being injured and when i came by to care for him, there he was kneeing in front of me with a ring. I couldn't describe how happy and emotionally i was but in the back of my head i was sulking because that means he let me win the race and cross the finish line first so we could start a new adventure.
