Max and Alyssa met on the dormitory move-in day of their freshman year of college. They were lucky enough to live on the same floor and would develop a wonderful friendship before realizing a year and a half later that they were meant to be and became inseparable. Max decided to join the Marine Corps while Alyssa stayed in Chicago to persist in her education to become a nurse. They had four long years of distance - learning to endure challenges, find new ways to express their love and gratitude for one another, and endlessly plan their future together on late night facetime calls. When Max retuned to Chicago four years later, he decided to pursue a new career while Alyssa started as a novice in hers. *** Alyssa and Max decided to take the leap to move into their first apartment together, in the heart of Wrigleyville in Chicago. They then decided to take the even bigger leap to buy their first home together, subsequently sharing it with their pride and joys, Ducky and Lucy. In July of 2023, they took a much-needed vacation to Puerto Rico, where Max proposed in questionable Spanish on the stunning moonlit beach. Once Alyssa deciphered what the heck he was saying, it was of course a resounding "yes!". They are excited to share their special day with you and all of the other people who have loved them throughout their journey.
