How We Met

From First to Last

For those of you who don't know, this isn't our first attempt at making it work. Way back in 8th grade, we were each other's first relationship. But like most young relationships, things didn't exactly work out in our favor. Attending different schools and being so innocent our romance ended after just a few months, and we moved on to bigger and better things in high school. The same high school, but we never spoke again. Fast forward roughly a decade... Alyssa had recently moved home from college, age 22 and feeling fancy free at a friend's bonfire, when a cute guy with a gnarly beard approaches her asking to be his teammate for a game. She laughs, thinking he's joking, but he couldn't have been more serious. Cute bearded guy wouldn't take no for an answer, and they ended up being a dynamite duo. Summer goes by, texts are exchanged, and wouldn't you know it - things just clicked. We quickly became each other's best friend, and it didn't take long to drop those three little words. While we may not have been ready for each other at fourteen, fate knew we needed to find our way back to each other someday. Today we are building a beautiful life in our first home, raising the best fur babes we could ask for, and while fiance/fiancee has a really nice ring to it (see what we did there?), husband and wife are going to sound so much better.
