Things To Do

Bass Pro Shops at the Pyramid

Bass Pro Shops at the Pyramid

1 Bass Pro Drive, Memphis, TN 38105

Check out the world's largest Bass Pro Shop! It’s kind of crazy in the best way. There are fish and alligators inside, plus lots to walk around and see. You can also go up to the top for a really great view of the Mississippi River.

Shelby Farms Park

Shelby Farms Park

Memphis, TN 38018

This is a great spot if you want to get outside for a bit. There’s a big lake you can walk around, tons of trails, and options to rent bikes or even go horseback riding. It’s a really pretty place to explore and spend a couple hours.

Memphis Botanic Garden

Memphis Botanic Garden

750 Cherry Road, Memphis, TN 38117

This is where we had one of our first dates, so it’s pretty special to us. It’s a really pretty spot with tons of flowers, trees, and nice places to walk around.

Memphis Chess Club

Memphis Chess Club

195 Madison Avenue, Memphis, TN 38103

We took our engagement photos here, so we’re a little biased, but it’s such a cool spot! It’s actually the second oldest chess club in the country! You can grab a drink, play chess, or choose from tons of other board games. Definitely a fun, different vibe.

Sun Studio

Sun Studio

706 Union Avenue, Memphis, TN 38103

If you’re into music, this is a really cool stop. It’s where artists like Elvis, Johnny Cash, and B.B. King recorded early on. You can tour the studio, hear stories, and stand in the same spot where it all happened.

Crystal Shrine Grotto

Crystal Shrine Grotto

5668 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38120

Okay, so technically this is in a cemetery… but stay with us... It’s actually home to the only man-made crystal cave in the world! Inside, you’ll find these really intricate scenes from the life of Christ made with rock crystal, stones, and wood. Even if you’re not super religious, it’s a peaceful, unique spot with a pretty meditation garden that’s worth a visit.

Graceland

Graceland

Elvis Presley Boulevard, Memphis, TN 38116

Home of Elvis Presley and one of the biggest attractions in Memphis! We haven’t done the tour ourselves since it’s a bit pricey and we’re not huge Elvis people, but it’s definitely a popular stop if you want to check out a big piece of music history.

Cedar Hill Farm, The Barn.

Cedar Hill Farm, The Barn.

8 Love Road, Hernando, MS 38632

Cedar Hill Farm will have all their fall stuff going on in Hernando. Think pumpkin patch, hayrides, a corn maze, animals, and plenty of classic fall food. It’s a fun spot if you want to get outside and soak up the season.

Southern Social

Southern Social

2285 South Germantown Road, Germantown, TN 38138

If you’re looking for a nicer, more romantic dinner, this is our favorite spot. We had one of the best meals we’ve ever had here (Thanks Jen!). We highly recommend the Tomahawk Pork Chop with the Sweet Potato Casserole.

Bog & Barley Irish Pub

Bog & Barley Irish Pub

6150 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38119

Another great option if you want a nicer dinner. It’s an Irish pub with beautiful wood details brought over from Ireland, and the food is so good. The fish and chips and shepherd’s pie are both amazing.

Charlie Vergos' Rendezvous

Charlie Vergos' Rendezvous

52 South 2nd Street, Memphis, TN 38103

This place is a Memphis classic and pretty much synonymous with BBQ. They’re famous for their dry rub ribs, and it’s definitely worth a stop if you want the full Memphis experience.

Sugar Ghost Ice Cream and Bubble Tea

Sugar Ghost Ice Cream and Bubble Tea

9077 Poplar Avenue, Germantown, TN 38138

If you’re in the mood for something sweet, Sugar Ghost is a fun stop. They have two locations around Memphis and serve homemade ice cream, boba teas, and other treats. The decor is really cute too, so it’s a great spot to hang out for a bit.
