We're Getting Married!

As I stand in the middle of the goal, not paying attention to the soccer game whatsoever I notice a tall defender that I recognize as the coach's daughter. Little did I know that one day she would become my wife. Alyssa and I's childhoods were intertwined from elementary school through high school, even appearing in the background of each other's photos along the way. When Alyssa invited me to her graduation party I kindly accepted as I knew she was a good person with a kind heart and easy-going personality. I wrote her a short note saying we should hang out in college considering my luck to be going to the same school, Colorado State University. When I finally reached out we went on a short fishing date, finding ourselves talking about life and family for hours. We were blessed to have a slow start and officially started dating about 6 months later the next fall. After that she has been by my side since, my best friend and partner through life. I am truly grateful to be marrying this wonderful woman, and look forward to the fantastic memories with friends and family ahead! -Logan

We were on the Symphony of the Seas in the Caribbean and on the first day on the ship, Logan asked if I wanted to take some pictures together at sunset. He took me up to the top deck to a viewing platform that stuck off the side of the ship and told me to look out on the ocean so he could take a photo of me. I turned around and waited for him to take a photo. When I turned around he was on one knee and asked me to marry him! It was an immediate yes!! I was so surprised!! I had no idea he was planning on proposing and was so excited! Afterward, we enjoyed a Hibachi dinner on the ship and celebrated our engagement! We went on to celebrate the rest of the trip and had an amazing time enjoying each other's company! I am so excited to marry Logan and look forward to a lifetime of adventures and love! - Alyssa
