While on vacation separately, in the same state, in the same city, at the same time, you guessed it at the same club on the same night. Alyssa met Kyndall. Alyssa spent the majority of the night trying to pursue a shy and avoidant Kyndall despite them sharing a drink together at the bar. However, against all odds just when persistent Alyssa thought all efforts had been exhausted just as she was leaving, she spotted Kyndall waiting outside. Both shared a smile and Alyssa gave Kyndall her number. They had their first date that very next day before leaving to resume their lives in different cities and spoke every single day from that day forward. As unexpected and unpredictable as life is at times, every now and then fate steps in and places you exactly where you need to be with the person you need to be with.
On their second pride weekend together, now both living in Chicago, Alyssa spent her Saturday on the 20th floor of a luxury suite at the London House Hotel in downtown Chicago preparing the room for the big day. Unknowing to Kyndall, who thought Alyssa was out indoor rock climbing for the day, her night would be full of both love, tears, surprises and pure magic that Alyssa had spent the last 3 months planning. That night at 7:00pm, after arriving too early and being sent on a target run for beauty blenders to give Alyssa more time, Kyndall made her way up to the hotel room. She opened the door. Snoah Aalegra "Do For Love" played in the background, Kyndall slowly walked through an aisle filled with hundreds of rose petals. She maneuvered around a sea of floating balloons, where photos of every single conversation they had shared while being long distance hung from the strings. Alyssa patiently waited at the other end of that path and stood in front of a window overlooking the city, next to a bottle of champagne and a small box that contained the wedding ring they both picked out together back in March. She said "I love you. You are my fate, my destiny, and the most remarkable person I have ever met in my entire life. You've changed me in all the best ways and loved me in ways I didn't even think were imaginable. This past year has been an amazing season one of our lives together. I want to know if you'd like to renew for a second season, and do me the honor of marrying me?" And Kyndall said "You wanna marry ME!?!?" They laughed and cried, and they both said yes. And just like that they're engaged. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you all next fall, in October 2024!
