Gail Williams and Patricia Sheehy met while they worked together as lunch ladies at the local school. They quickly became friends and would spend much of their time together at the Yacht Club of Pleasantville (YCP). Their partners, Bob and William, quickly became close friends as well. As their friendship grew, so did their families. After Patricia went on to have a few children, including her eldest child, Chrissy, Gail had given birth to children of her own, including the eldest child, Sherry. The children would spend a lot of time together, playing at the YCP or swimming at Chrissy’s house. The families continued to be close for a long time, but as time passed and the children grew up, they became distant. As fate would have it, in 2022, Sherry's eldest child, Kirk, and Chrissy's eldest grandchild, Alyssa, would meet one another online. The two families would unknowingly be reunited after so many years. Just as quickly as Gail and Patricia formed a close bond, so did Alyssa and Kirk. From the moment they met, there was a certain level of comfort and familiarity between them, leaving little to no room for those awkward silences and confused chuckles that usually accompany first dates. For them, everything just felt easy from the very beginning. It was almost hard to forget that they had just met each other for the first time only a few minutes before. The laughter and smiles that filled the car as they drove together on their first date quickly clued them in to know that this would be a love that lasted a long time. When Kirk met Chrissy for the first time, she excitedly recalled stories of Sherry and her brother, Bob, as children, and of stories about Gail and Patricia she'd been told about. When Kirk got home later that day, he spoke with his mom about the woman he's been talking to and this Chrissy lady who she lives with that knows their whole family tree, Sherry excitedly recalled those same stories about Chrissy. Sherry went on to tell Kirk "Our families are related by love, not blood" and eagerly waited to meet Alyssa, the one who was unexpectedly bringing the families back together again. Now, back where so many memories had been made between their families for so many years, Alyssa and Kirk are getting married at the Yacht Club of Pleasantville and will make their own special memories with both of their families combined.
