Joseph and Alyssa met back in the fall of 2016. Together they worked at Field and Stream. Alyssa saw Joseph at the front of the store manning the door when she approached him and asked him, “How did you get stuck manning the door.” Alyssa kept the conversation going during the whole shift until closing time. By the end of the night, Alyssa decided to give him her number so they could continue their conversation. That night they did not stop talking until 2am. They continued to talk and get to know each other at work and through texting. It wasn't until December that they started to like each other as more than friends. On New Year's Eve, both Alyssa and Joseph were invited to a party. While they were there, they barely left each other's side. Once midnight hit, they brought in 2017 by sharing their first kiss. For the next month and a half, they would continue to see each other; however, it was just as friends. Joe wanted to be more than that and asked on multiple occasions to go out with Alyssa, but it was only until around February when Alyssa realized that she liked him and couldn’t remain to be without him. They started officially dating on February 16th, 2017. Eight years later, Joe got down on one knee at the gazebo down in Northport Village right by the water. It was almost like God had His approval over their union because it was raining all day up until moments before the proposal. Once Alyssa got to the gazebo, the sky cleared into the most beautiful blue and the weather became perfect. Alyssa and Joe look forward to continuing their journey together on September 26th, 2025 when they will tie the knot and be committed to each other for the rest of their lives.
I met Joe back in the fall of 2016 working together at Field and Stream. He was working the front door and I decided to say “hi” to him. By the end of the night, I decided to give him my number so we could finish the conversation. We ended up talking until 2am. I really wasn't looking to be in a relationship; I was just happy to have someone nice to talk to. Nothing really changed until New Years Eve when we were invited to the same party. At midnight, we shared a kiss and that was when I started to like him, but I was really unsure about getting into a relationship. We kept hanging out and he asked me out several times and I kept saying no. It wasn't until around Valentine's Day that I finally decided to take the chance. I don't like the idea of Valentine's Day, so I told him that I would go on a date with him only if it wasn't Valentine's Day. After that first official date with him, I also said yes to being his girlfriend. It's been 8 years and I still am in love with him like I was 8 years ago. I found my person and am so thankful and beyond excited to walk down the aisle on our wedding day to marry the most amazing person I have ever met and get to have in my life.
I met Alyssa when we were working at Field & Stream together 8 years ago. I was working at the front door of the store when she approached me and said “hi.” To be honest, I originally started talking to her because I was trying to set her up with another friend of ours, but it didn't take long to realize that she was someone special. After only a few days of talking to her, I told my friend that I couldn't set them up because I didn't want to lose a shot at dating her. After only talking to her and going out with her for a few dates, I realized that I loved her. On New Years Eve that realization became set in stone and 8 years later the feelings for her have only gotten stronger. I cannot wait for the day we get married because she is truly the most amazing woman I've ever met in my entire life.
