It all started at Gold’s Gym, where Alyssa was working while finishing nursing school. Joey made sure to come to the gym every day just to see her, and eventually, he worked up the courage to ask her out. From there, they began working out together and going on countless dates, quickly realizing how easy life felt side by side. This was the beginning of their story. Their first official date was at Grains of Wrath in Camas, and from that night on, they’ve been truly inseparable. Whether it’s spontaneous dinner dates, snowboarding adventures, or cozy evenings in, Joey and Alyssa have become each other’s best friend and biggest supporter. Their life together is filled with laughter, soft moments, and plenty of Chipotle take-out nights. They bought a home and made it their cozy little haven, where they love spending time together, going on walks with their sweet pups Kolohe (aka Cheeto) and the baby girl they adopted, Lucy. From the moment Lucy joined their family, she brought even more joy, love, and wagging tails into their home. Joey proposed while sailing in the Bahamas, surrounded by family and friends, an unforgettable moment that sealed everything they already knew.
