It is a very typical story for our generation. We both had a crush on each other for months without the other person knowing. Alyssa saw Henry's name on Snapchat's "quick adds" tab (a spot on the app where you can add people based on mutual friends) one day and contemplated if she should add him. After discussing with her now bridesmaid, Stephanie, she decided to make a move! Sadly, she took too long to determine if she should add Henry because his name was gone. Fast forward a month later, his name was BACK! Alyssa took this as a sign from the universe that she had to take the opportunity to add Henry on Snapchat. Luckily, that night Henry added her back. Step one of winning over Henry was complete, and the next was for Alyssa to reach out to him. Later that night while Alyssa was hanging out with friends, she decided to take a picture with her friend's dog, because who can resist a cute dog? Thankfully, her plan worked because Henry responded. This was the start of something great. After talking and getting to know each other for about a month or 2, they decided it was time to hang out. They were both very awkward and nervous, so you can only imagine how it went. Henry had friends over at his apartment one summer night (July 14th, 2020 to be exact), so Alyssa and her friends decided to go over. For the first 20 minutes, they could not even exchange a whole sentence with each other because the nerves were at an all-time high. After some liquid courage and a walk to the local bar, they clicked. At this bar, Alyssa's bridesmaid, Gianna, decided to play "truth or dare" with Henry. This is when Henry was dared to kiss Alyssa, and they shared their first kiss. From that night on, they were inseparable. Henry and Alyssa spent the rest of their summer together making memories and growing their love for each other. They had their first date at Keystone Safari in Grove City, Pa. On August 28th, 2020, they became official! Henry asked Alyssa to be his girlfriend, and 5 minutes later Alyssa was sick from tequila (or maybe it was from Henry. That is still up for debate). This will always be a great and terrible memory for them.

Henry reached out to Alyssa's friends from Chatham University (Izzy, Lexi, and Kaitlyn) to plan a surprise on the day of Alyssa's birthday. He gave them some ideas, but the girls knew Alyssa was gullible but not that gullible. On that day, she had planned a birthday happy hour with her friends from school, but to make matters more stressful, she needed to pay a price to the restaurant for any guests that did not attend the reservation. As the 4 girls were leaving school that day to travel to the mandatory-attendance reservation, Izzy got a "call from her boyfriend" that he was in a car accident Downtown by Market Square. Traffic wasn't too bad, so it would be a quick trip to pick him up from the accident. The girls arrived and were told that the boyfriend was walking towards their car. Lexi then said, "Can we go to the Point, I've never seen it, and we can take a nice picture together." Alyssa, sweating due to stress, agreed only if her friends agreed to be quick. The girls then travel down to the fountain, and as they make their way to the opposite side, Alyssa suggests a group of girls take their picture. Then, Izzy suggests we ask Henry to take their picture as he sits on the fountain's edge. Alyssa, still in her own birthday girl world, gets excited and runs towards Henry for her birthday surprise. Henry then plays Can't Help Falling in Love (cover by Christian Leave), which is "their song," and hands Alyssa a bouquet of flowers (for her birthday, of course). As Henry then retrieves a jewelry box, Alyssa is still under the impression that this could be a set of earrings for her birthday present. It wasn't until Henry got down on one knee, asked Alyssa to marry him, Alyssa cried out "yes", and their families popped out from behind the fountain that today was no longer Alyssa's birthday. It was now the day Alyssa and Henry got engaged.
