One late summer evening on Cape Cod, Alyssa was out with a friend, and Garrett was out with one of his cousins, both for dinner at the Chart Room. Coincidentally, Alyssa also knew his cousin from high school, and she invited Alyssa and her friend to join them for dinner. During the dinner, Alyssa captivated Garrett with her stories from working in the emergency department and Garrett charmed Alyssa with his shameless confidence and relentless wit. A few days later Garrett took Alyssa out on their first date in Boston. They had a great time eating and drinking around Boylston Street. Such a good time in fact- after they were carded at the restaurant, they did not realize they were handed the other’s license. Unfortunately for Garrett this did not come to fruition until he was pulled over in Harlem for looking at his GPS on his phone at a stoplight. Garrett handed the police officer his license and was told he was “not a pretty blonde girl.” Garrett got a ticket, and a second date to switch the license back to their rightful owner. And that date led to many, many more!
