Take a walk at Piedmont Park! Click the link for a map for a 1 mile loop that will give you a good tour of the area, but it's easy to extend the walk to enjoy even more time outside. We'd love for you to send us a picture from the gazebo :) There's a playground in the middle of the park for kids, and Park Tavern at the corner of the park for adults!
Check the link for our recommended 1.3 mile walk! Get dropped off at Ponce City Market and browse through the variety of shops and food vendors, then go to the second floor to get onto the Beltline Path. You'll be walking along Evan and Alyssa's most common running path as you pass by hundreds of people enjoying the trail, breweries, and eventually, Evan and Alyssa's house! End your walk at Krog Street Market, where you'll find a dozen delicious food stands.
The Aquarium is amazing! Alyssa's favorite area is the giant tropical fish tank, and Evan liked crawling through the tunnels chasing Rowan. We'd recommend going early to beat the crowds if you're going on Saturday morning!
There are plenty of coffee shops closer to the hotel in midtown that might be easier for you to get to this weekend, but we at least had to share our favorite! East Pole is where you'll find Evan most mornings, and both of us most weekends! This is where the majority of our wedding was planned. Get a chocolate milk drink (one of Alyssa's favorites), or an iced Jasmine tea (Evan's go-to order).
We consider ourselves semi-retired climbers - but not too long ago we were spending A LOT of time at Stone Summit Climbing Gym (now Central Rock Gym). For those of you looking to catch a whip or two before the party, this is an awesome for sport climbing! The midtown location is great for bouldering.
