WE'RE GETTING MARRIED!

We met during a mud volleyball tournament—because nothing says true love like knee-deep in mud and a little competition. What started as a chance meeting quickly turned into something neither of us expected. From the very beginning, we never had a dull moment. Between countless hours spent at the bar, lots of “studying”, and laughing our way through college, it didn’t take long to realize we were meant to do life together. What began as a muddy introduction turned into the best partnership we could’ve asked for—and now here we are, ready for our forever. Turns out the best things in life start a little messy!

After five years together—and plenty of gentle reminders about when a proposal might be happening—Evan finally decided it was time. With help from Alyssa’s sister and dad, he planned the perfect surprise in the heart of Detroit, right in front of the Detroit train station. Surrounded by family, in the city that means so much to Alyssa, Evan got down on one knee and popped the question—and it was everything she had been waiting for! Thoughtful, meaningful, and perfectly us. Worth the wait? Absolutely.
