Alyssa and Evan’s journey started as first-grade classmates at Holy Rosary School in Woodland, CA, until they graduated from the eighth grade in 2012. They attended separate high schools (Alyssa at St. Francis; Evan at Woodland Christian) navigating the challenges of high school, first loves and first heartbreaks. Ten years quickly passed when the two reconnected, as people do, via social media. After many online conversations the two went on their first date to Paesanos, an Italian themed restaurant in Davis, CA. Although many years had gone by since they had last seen each other, they felt an instant connection as they reminisced about their shared elementary school experience and friends. They relaxed as the evening progressed and their first-date jitters melted away. Evan and Alyssa went on many adventures including trips to Apple Hill, visiting Alyssa’s family in Massachusetts as well as attending various sport games such as Kings basketball, Rivercats and Red Sox baseball games. They also enjoyed trips to Disneyland as well as the Monterey Coast, where Evan proposed during a hike at Point Lobos. Alyssa and Evan feel blessed to have their family and friends witness their union on May 10, 2025
