It all started in the halls of high school. During her photography class, Alyssa accidentally snapped a photo of a cute boy in the hallway — little did she know, that boy was Emilio, her future husband. A year later, they ended up in the same Spanish class. Alyssa, still secretly crushing, finally worked up the courage to wish Emilio a Happy Birthday on September 25th — a day they happened to share. Their friendship grew naturally, and when Emilio joined the track team (supposedly for basketball... but we all know it was really for Alyssa), they started spending even more time together. That summer, they shared their first yoga class, first kiss at Funtasticks, and countless late nights sneaking in extra time together. By the end of the summer, they were inseparable. When college took them to different states — Emilio for basketball in Illinois and Alyssa for track in North Carolina — long distance only made their bond stronger. No matter the distance, they always found their way back to each other. After college, they both returned to Arizona, diving into their careers. With a little encouragement, Emilio took an internship in Tucson, finally reuniting them in the same city. It was there, in their hometown and surrounded by loved ones, that Emilio proposed to his high school sweetheart. And now, we can't wait to celebrate the next chapter of this amazing journey with all of you!
