We're Getting Married

If you were to tell us we'd be writing our love story for our wedding website 13 years ago, we'd say you're crazy, but here we are. We met in high school through a mutual friend when we were both freshmen. We probably only said a handful of words to each other that day and did our very best to not make any direct eye contact with one another. Since we had a mutual friend group, we found ourselves in the same social circle on numerous occasions. However, to say we were buddies would be an overstatement. Although we were somewhat shy around each-other, we still managed to attend Mercy Senior Prom together 4 years later. This gave us the opportunity to take some awkward photos together and to share a bit of nervous conversation. After graduating high school, our paths took us in different directions. I attended college in Oregon while Danny initially attended college locally before heading out of state temporarily and returning to graduate. As luck would have it, and after living out of state for 6 years, I received a job offer from UCSF which brought me back to the Bay Area. Once back in town, our friend group picked up right where they left off and we started making plans for future activities. It was just like old times minus the shy and awkward conversation. After a winter friend trip to Lake Tahoe, Danny started reaching out for "help studying" for his EMT classes. He claims this was purely due to my medical background and training while others might call it a bit more strategic. The studying sessions turned into movie nights, that turned into wine nights, that eventually turned into date nights. Our relationship grew from there and two years later Danny got down on one knee. This brings us here today. We are so excited to be getting married and we cannot wait to share our special day with each and every one of you!
