Alyssa and Cesar first met during Alyssa's senior year at Wagner College in Staten Island. She often volunteered in the community with her friend, Brianne, and upon returning from winter break, Alyssa was invited by Brianne and her dad to help with a community soccer program. The program was on Friday nights at the CYO in Port Richmond. Cesar was a goalie and often attended the program with his cousins. After the first few weeks, Brianne and Alyssa grew to know some of the soccer players and would hang out at a local diner after the program. Cesar and Alyssa got to know each other and one thing led to another. By March, they were officially dating, despite Alyssa's initial hesitation and worry that she would soon be back in Pittsburgh. Their relationship only grew stronger through Alyssa's graduation and she landed an internship at the Staten Island newspaper. Before the holidays in 2014, Alyssa and Cesar decided it was time for a change and moved back to Alyssa's hometown of Pittsburgh in December. Now, Alyssa and Cesar have the best of both worlds and live in Pittsburgh but visit NYC often to visit family and friends. Cesar popped the question during a trip to NYC in July 2017. From that point, the question became, where is the best place for a wedding when our families live in two different states? Lancaster was the perfect location. The location is a midway point between NYC and Pittsburgh, with beautiful fall foliage and bright colors in early October. The couple anxiously awaits their families and friends joining together in one location to celebrate their wedding for the entire weekend. It will be a wonderful getaway for all who come to celebrate. What's next for Alyssa and Cesar? They don't know what city they'll end up in permanently. But for now, they are content with spending their time in Pittsburgh with their two cats and traveling to new places.
