We were both living in the same apartment complex in Deptford, NJ. We would see each other occasionally at the pool and would wave and make small talk. Alyssa's sister, who she lived with at the time had gotten a dog, and once Alyssa started walking the dog and going to the dog park in the complex she would run in to Brian a lot more as he was walking his two dogs. Brian knew right away that he was going to date this girl and marry her one day. Alyssa was not even thinking that. After a summer of pool conversations, Facebook exchanges, texting, and meeting up nightly to walk the dogs, Alyssa started warming up to the idea of dating but wasn't quite there yet. Our first date was at Top Golf, and even though both of us were extremely nervous we had a really good time. Early on, Brian even drove all the way down to Atlantic City to meet up with Alyssa and her friends for a few hours. Alyssa thought maybe there is something special about this guy, and boy was she right. Fast forward many dates, and I love you's later, we found out in April 2023 that we were expecting our son. In July 2023, Brian was able to secure a tour of the White House for Alyssa and his kids. What Alyssa thought was going to be a normal weekend spent in Washington DC ended up being the best weekend ever. Brian proposed to Alyssa on the front steps of the White House with the kids being able to watch. December 2023 our son Bryson Joseph was born and our love for each other and our son grew more than we could ever imagine. Everything might have happened fast, but we truly believe now more than ever that everything happens for a reason, and when you know you know. We are so excited to be joined together in front of all our family and friends, and Bryson cannot wait to give his mommy his last name :)
