Brian and Alyssa met at Shippensburg University in 2008. They quickly became friends through bonding over their love of Lost, music, and annoying each other. Throughout the years they stayed close friends and eventually became best friends, despite being separated by an ocean. Brian lived in Romania, Poland, and New Jersey, while Alyssa moved from New Jersey to Fort Worth, Texas. Eventually, Brian realized that their friendship could turn into more and informed Alyssa. Brian moved to Fort Worth in 2018, and they gave their relationship a shot, even though Alyssa wouldn't make the relationship official for another year. When is their anniversary? Somewhere between 2017 and 2019. It depends on who you ask. In October 2020, Brian and Alyssa took a trip to Arkansas to hike in the Ozarks with the two dogs, CC and Thor. Alyssa suspected Brian might propose because he uncharacteristically planned the whole trip. Brian did not disappoint and proposed the night they arrived over a dinner of Asian-fusion take out. He placed the ring on the table, expecting a reaction, but Alyssa did not notice for a few minutes. (She was too distracted by the food.) After seeing the ring, there was no way Alyssa could say no! When Harry Met Sally stated it best: "We were friends for a long time. And then we weren't. And then we fell in love."
