We're Getting Married!

We met in 2013 while we were both attending Ithaca College. As Freshmen, we instantly hit it off and would routinely see each other around campus. While the friendship was instant, the love came later. After graduating undergrad early and enrolling in law school, Brendan would continue to visit his friends who were in their senior year at Ithaca. During these frequent visits, our relationship progressed to the next level. One night, after a long evening spent in a local college bar (Lot 10), Alyssa approached Brendan and said, “it looks like you need a water” Truer words have never been spoke and it was in that moment he realized that not only needed the water, but he also needed, Alyssa. After graduation, Alyssa remained in Ithaca as she pursued her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. The two kept in close contact and found a way to make their newly formed long distance relationship work. Brendan would continue to visit Alyssa in Ithaca and was shown an entirely new side of the City. College bars were replaced with vineyards, house parties gave way to hikes, and their relationship began to flourish. During this time Alyssa also began visiting Brendan in Brooklyn Heights. Here, they would attend museums, go to concerts, and routinely ate at restaurants that Brendan pretended to be able to afford. They then graduated from their respective graduate programs, obtained jobs in their respective fields, and moved into their first apartment together. After seven years together, we made it here.
