Why don't I see a wedding ceremony on the schedule of events?
Answer
We have decided to hold a private ceremony in Hawaii on October 15th, attended only by our immediate families. As we began to plan our wedding, we made it our goal to create a day that would feel as authentic to us as possible—embracing the wedding traditions we love and departing from those that didn't resonate with us. When it came to our ceremony, our top priority was to be completely present and focused on each other as we exchange vows, and we couldn’t shake the feeling that the best way to do that was to have as small an audience as possible during this personal moment. With that said, while we see our ceremony as an experience reserved just for us, we see our wedding day as a celebration of our community—a chance for us to honor the individuals who have made our collective life so warm and full. Our wedding is not limited to the moment in which we say the words that make us husband and wife. To us, sharing a table and a meal with our loved ones is a ritual just as sacred. We would be honored to celebrate with you.

Will parking be available?
Answer
Street parking is available and free after 6PM and free all day on Sunday. There are several lots and garages in the Pioneer Square neighborhood as well. The closest parking lot is directly across 1st Ave from AXIS, as well as one right around the corner on 2nd and Main St. Other lots and garages may be found at downtownseattleparking.com. This website details where all of the garages and lots are and the different rates for each. However, as we'd love to keep the good times rolling well into the evening, we recommend using alternate forms of transportation. The venue is an 8 minute walk from the International District Light Rail station. We would recommend walking south out of the station and using the Weller St Bridge.
