We're getting married!

In the fall of 2022, Alyssa was working as a student nurse in the emergency department at the Sturgeon Community Hospital. At the same time, Brandon had just undergone a site transfer for his job as a peace officer to the same hospital. Through mutual friends, Alyssa and Brandon knew of each other but had not yet officially met, so when the opportunity arose for Alyssa to introduce herself to Brandon, she did so without hesitation. Brandon and Alyssa had an instant connection and chatted as though they had already known each other their entire lives. Alyssa even stayed five hours after her shift had ended as she and Brandon had gotten lost in conversation! This began their friendship, in which Brandon and Alyssa enjoyed going to the gym together, and watching their favourite show: “How I Met Your Mother”. When less than ideal circumstances for Alyssa occurred in the winter, Brandon was the first person Alyssa called for help and a shoulder to cry on. Very soon after, Alyssa moved in with Brandon as a friend, but “roommates” to “love interests” became an inevitable transition. Together Brandon and Alyssa have built a beautiful life together as “hubby” and “wifey”, as they frequently refer to each other, alongside their small zoo of beloved pets, Stella (cat), Pippin (hedgehog), and Vice (bearded dragon).
