Our Story

<3

Once upon a time, in the summer of 2016... Brad had a premonition! He decided that the next girl he dated, she would be with her parents when they met, or he would be with his. He wanted to be with someone that was close with their parents, a hard worker, and overall genuine human being. After working a hard day roofing, he took his dog, Koba, to Uisce, an Irish Pub, to visit his friend that was working and have some lunch. In comes this rowdy group of people, Ken, Susan, and Alyssa. Brad joins in the conversation of deciding what drink to get, and starts talking to Ken. Ken and Brad hit it off, and he eventually asks Kens permission to get my (Alyssa's) number. From what Ken was saying, I was hitting all the boxes on Brad's checklist. (Thanks daddio for being my wing man!) Ken says, "Uh, I think she has a boyfriend." And I quickly shake my head, no, and ask for his phone. I gave him my number, and 10 days later we went on our first date. It was Brad's birthday, and I was so upset, because I wanted a free meal, but couldn't make him pay on his birthday! Brad found that charming. ;) We hit it off, went on a second date, then a third... and a forth... and then I think by then we were pretty inseparable. By the end of July, he asked if I would feel his pants... and I felt them, and he said, they are made of boyfriend material. He made me laugh so hard, I could not say no. Two and a half years later, we live in a cute home in the county a mile from his parents, with our two awesome dogs. We keep working hard to make things better, and just enjoying this adventure together.

The Proposal

!!!

https://www.facebook.com/katie.emmons.33/videos/vb.25905884/10102980190077250/?type=3 My amazing future sister-in-law made this video, if you want to watch the proposal. It was definitely overwhelming, but so perfect. Brad knows me so well, and having my family there just made it so special. I ended up having to work for a couple hours, so Brad was pretty upset with that. After I got off work, I went home and Brad had cleaned the entire house. We then went to Bellewood Acres for some delicious brunch. Then we went on a hike at Scrabble Falls with the puppers. I was getting so excited to go home and take a nap, but when we got home, we saw Jake, my cousins dog. I was like, what is Jake doing here? I go around the corner, and I see my mom take off. So, I start chasing my mom, like what the heck! Ha. Watch the video... the next part is pretty hysterical.
