If you are looking for something to do in Des Moines while you are not at the wedding, we have some recommendations for you!

Open from 8am to 12pm on Saturday in the Historic Court District in Downtown Des Moines

Des Moines Downtown Farmers' Market

You're in luck! This place is in the same building we will be celebrating our wedding. This arcade bar is 21+ on Saturdays, but if you are looking to have some family fun on Sunday they often are open for all ages from 10am to 2pm.

Up-Down Arcade Bar

Don't want the party to stop after our reception? There is a fun karaoke bar just a 5 minute walk away open until 2am.

AJ's Karaoke Bar

This beautiful botanical garden is open Saturdays and Sundays from 9am to 4pm.

Des Moines Botanical Garden

The Iowa State Capital is a 10 minute walk from our venue. If you are looking to check it out before the wedding it is open for tours from 8am to 4pm on Saturdays.

Tour the Capital

Ernie's is our favorite bar in the East Village just a block away from our venue. Alyssa loves to order the egg bomb (light beer of your choice with a pickled egg in it). Give it a try, just don't forget your gum or a mint. ;)
