Flight and Train Tips
Pisa and Florence are the closest airports to Borgo Divino; however, they often require a connection and can be more expensive. For ease and flexibility, we recommend flying into one of the major airports in Milan or Rome, renting a car, and driving to your accomodation. The scenic drive is about 3 hours from Rome or 3.5-4 hours from Milan, taking you through some of Italy's most picturesque countryside and charming towns along the way. If you prefer not to drive, another great option is to take the high-speed train directly to Florance (approximately 2 hours from either city) and then take a taxi or private transfer to your accomodations. Trains run frequently between both Rome and Milan to Florence - check ItaliaRail, Italo, or TrenItalia for schedules and ticket information. Once in Florence, Borgo Divino is about a 45-minute drive southwest of the city, nestled in the Tuscan hills among vineyards and olive groves. Airport Codes: - Florence (FLR): Amerigo Vespucci Airport - Milan (MXP): Malpensa Airport - Rome (FCO): Leonardo da Vinci-Fiumicino Airport
Car Rentals
For the best prices, we recommend booking your car in advance online. Major car rental companies such as Avis, Hertz and Europcar offer convenient pickup options at all major airports and city centers. If you're not comfortable driving a manual transmission, be sure to select an automatic vehicle when booking - manual is the default in Italy!
