Critical Grind Board Game Cafe
Connor absolutely loves this place. We go at least once a week for coffee, tea, and smoothies while we play games or do puzzles from their huge selection available for free use. They also have bagels, muffins, and toasts, including a "Build your own" where you roll different dice to determine what it is and comes with.
Brookfield Zoo
We've been getting a yearly membership with them for the past 3 years and taking Connor on day long adventures. He loves the animals, especially the fish in The Living Coast. One of the first big all day dates we went on was a trip here with our friends as well
Capri Sogno
This is a local Italian restaurant that we go to when we are out for dinner dates quite regularly. The food is fantastic and the prices are extremely reasonable. When it's nice outside we enjoy sitting out on the front patio with some drinks
Moe Joe's
A local cajun and caribbean cuisine restaurant. This is another common dinner date destination for us. Alyssa loves their Shrimp Etouffee and Andrew highly suggests you try their Build Yo' Own Kabobs and getting alligator for the meat
Hollywood Blvd Cinema
If the humid heat of August in the Chicago area is to much and you're looking to get indoors to cool off then see a movie at Hollywood Boulevard Cinema and have some drinks and good food! This is where Andrew and Alyssa met doing midnight shadow cast performances of the Rocky Horror Picture show every Saturday where Alyssa performed and did lights and Andrew ran the security crew. While there get Alyssa's favorite drink the Blue Motherf***** and find out if the manager Joe is working and if so tell him you want the Freddy Finger's w/ Fries but Andrew's way
