Alec and I met through a mutual friend in 2021. Although we had been Facebook friends for years before then, I thought he was quite strange because he would eat anything he could think of in a tortilla. Eventually after meeting in the fall of 2021 we became good friends and would chat almost daily. We soon became inseparable and started dating February 2022. Quickly after I moved in with Alec and the rest is history.

Alec proposed on the beach in Garden City, SC after months of convincing me it wasn’t going to happen. We had planned to take family photos with my side of the family while on vacation. As Alec and I were finishing with our couple photos he pulled out the ring and got down on one knee. No one was expecting it to the point where my dad almost did not get pictures of the proposal and my brother, Logan, missed the whole thing because he was facing the wrong direction. I would not change it for the world. It will always be one of my favorite moments.
