We're so excited to celebrate with you!

Akeem grew up in Chicago with his mom and step father. He had a very close group of friends, who are still a huge part of his life. Akeem loves to workout at the gym, run races with Alyssa, reading, and watching crime shows (even though Alyssa is terrified by them). His favorite memory growing up is playing basketball. His mom would bring Gatorade for him and all the players, and watch him competing with guys from several different neighborhoods. Akeem's best friend describes him as cool, calm and collected. He is one of the nicest and most down to earth people he knows, someone you can truly count on, and he thinks of him like a brother. Alyssa grew up in the North Suburbs with her parents and sister. She has always been on the quieter side, unless you really know her (then she won't shut up). She loves to do CrossFit, run races with Akeem, create new recipes, eating spicy food, goofing off and hanging out with her close friends. Her favorite memory growing up was going to Cubs games with her dad, and doing sewing/arts and crafts projects with her mom and grandma. Her family describes her as energetic, thoughtful, open minded, hard working, independent and intelligent. Like a lot of people these days, we met on Match.com. (Super romantic, we know!) It didn't take long after meeting for us to become inseparable. We are completely opposite in a lot of ways, but our differences are a good balance and bring out the best in each other. Together we love to watch movies, explore the City, do something active, and laugh a lot. We cannot wait to celebrate with everyone on our 6 year anniversary November 12, 2021!!
