Our journey began as two strangers who met online and decided to catch a movie on a Friday night at the end of April 2022. From the moment we met, conversation flowed effortlessly, and there was an immediate sense of ease—as if we had known each other for years. Little did we know that, in His providence, God had brought together two souls destined for each other. In the months that followed, we shared countless stories, laughs, and adventures, which deepened the connection we felt from the start. Despite the short time we had known each other, it was clear we had discovered something truly special. “I have found the one my soul loves.” – Song of Solomon 3:4 In August 2022, Alyssa moved 900 miles away to Tennessee to pursue her dream of becoming a veterinarian. We knew that long-distance would test the foundation of our relationship, but this challenge taught us invaluable lessons about loving each other and being intentional in our commitment. On March 18, 2023, on a crisp, cold morning in Tennessee, Adriel proposed to Alyssa atop Tri-State Peak, where the borders of Tennessee, Kentucky, and Virginia meet. Of course, she said yes!
