Although Lawrence and Alyssa have known each other through work for a few years, it all started at the dog park. They ran into each other, with their dogs, at the park and immediately connected. Lawrence asked Alyssa to go dancing at country night. Unfortunately, there wasn't much time left of country night, so the,y instead decided to go off roading in the forest. They then went to breakfast a couple of times when Lawrence invited Alyssa to go to church with him. They quickly fell in love and spent every minute of every day together. Loving someone has never been so easy. Lawrence knew Alyssa was the one when one day; they drove up to the Holy Dove chapel. Lawrence wanted to show Alyssa where his best friends were married years before. Upon that trip, Lawrence looked into the clouds. He saw the beauty in the sky, the warmth of the sun and its' rays illuminated the space around him with magnificent colors. In that very moment, he heard a soft whisper. "Be the man her father would be proud of, that he may rest knowing she is protected and loved, as I loved you." Hesitant, Lawrence knew from whom this peaceful voice was from, but he also knew the pain and suffering Alyssa suffered with the loss of her father as a child. In faith, Lawrence repeated those exact words. . . a minute passed (though it felt like eternity) when Alyssa started to tear up and cry. Lawrence thought he had offended her. Apologetic, Lawrence tried to redeem himself only to find out that, that very exact day 17 years ago Alyssa's father had passed away. Lawrence did not know this, but an infinite, omniscient God did. And through his spirit he lead Lawrence to speak those soft words. Through this, Lawrence knew in his heart. that Alyssa was the one. and that God had a plan for their relationship. After much fasting and prayer, Lawrence made the decision to ask Alyssa to spend the rest of her life being his wife. And of course she gladly accepted. (Revelations 12:11)
