I (Alyssa) was running tech for our schools spring play, and Caleb happened to audition and land a pretty big part. I had never talked to him before and we started hanging out through mutual friends and became best friends SUPER fast. We started dating about 6 months after we met and I knew I was going to marry him within a month of dating.

Caleb and I went out to celebrate our anniversary (it was on the 4th) and went out to Boatwerks for dinner. On our way to an "undisclosed location", he said he had to call Mitch (his mentor at church) because he needed help with something at the church. Annoyedly, I agreed to go (we were on a DATE - lol!) and he left me in the car and said he would be right back. 2 or 3 minutes later, he called me and told me to come and look at this "super cool thing" in our youth group room and when I walked downstairs there were candles lit down the aisle that led to him on the stage standing in front of candles spelling out "marry me". He had our song, I choose you by Ryann Darling, playing as well and a secret photographer (Mitch). It was so sweet.
