I met Michelle all the way back in elementary school.. though we didn’t really become close until 7th grade! Michelle left me and went off to Notre Dame with her sister Lisa, and I missed her so very much. When she came home I decided to hold on tight. I was lucky enough to live with Michelle for four years and it brought us even closer. I have so many memories of laughing until we cry, having spontaneous dance parties, and watching hours of “so you think you can dance”. Michelle has always been a friend I admire, and I feel insanely blessed to call her a best friend and my BEST WOMAN!
Lisa Furibondo
Best Woman
I met Lisa when I was a wee little one back in elementary school. We become close in 7th grade, and had an amazing group of girlfriends we did everything with. Lisa, being her genius self, went off to Notre Dame for college and I cried. Thankfully she came back, and even let me live with her and Michelle for many years! We had some amazing times living together, and I frequently miss Lisa’s cooking. Lisa is an amazing woman, who is strong, independent and caring and someone I can always turn to. Lisa is always there to give me advice, or tell me an answer to something I could likely just google. I love her to pieces, and I’m so honored to have her as my Best Woman!

Steph is my soul sister and the person who knows what I’m thinking before even I do. She is the purest and kindest person I know. She can also make me laugh until I cry. She is everyone’s biggest cheerleader, and is always there to make you feel amazing about yourself. I’ve known Steph since we played Greece Girls Soccer back when we were kids, though I quit because I was scared to get hit in the face with the ball. I truly believe everyone deserves to have a Steph in their life, but you can’t have mine. She’s my person. Thank you girly, for being a part of our big day.

Aimee quickly became a part of the family when her first date with my brother Ryan was at our annual Christmas cookie making day with my mom’s entire side of the family. She was thrown to the wolves, and she crushed it. Everyone loved her. She married RDeff in October 2019 in Westchester where they currently live. Aimee is genuine, kind and a force to be reckoned with. She will always have my back, and vise versa. I’m honored that she is the newest ADeff. Love you girl, thanks for being a part of our big day!

Ashley met my older brother Mark in 2010, and has been his right hand woman ever since. I love seeing my brother so happy, and I believe Ashley is a big reason for that. Ashley can entertain you for hours. She quickly become a sister to me, and I feel so lucky. I grew up begging for a sister, and was given three brothers. Ashley filled that role for me. She’s hilarious, she’s my Avett sister, and she’s stuck with me for life. Love you Ash. Thanks for being a part of our day!!

Shannon and I have been friends since high school, but really became close over the last 3 years! Shannon is such an amazing friend, and is a friend I can always turn to. She is a rock star veterinarian and she is currently engaged to marry our groomsman, Joe Sullivan. We are so happy for her, and are so appreciative of the friendship we all have together. Love you Shannon, can't wait to have you be a part of our wedding!

I met Ian when Alyssa and I first started dating. That is when it all began for us. We are into many of the same things whether it is watching soccer games early on Saturday mornings or staying up late to watch our west coast basketball teams. During the day there isn't a time we are not texting back and forth, either to each other, or in our soccer friends chat. Ian has quickly grown to become one of my best friends and a friendship I really appreciate. Ian is someone Alyssa and I can always count on. I am so honored to have him standing beside me on our big day.

Even though I have only known Bill a short 6 years, I would consider him like a brother to me. He is so funny and always has me laughing. He is also so supportive and always has my back. We bond over many things but basketball seems to be where we always end up. He knows I am clearly better at it than him and my basketball teams always beat up on his but we still manage to have a good laugh over it every time. I really appreciate the friendship I have with Bill and am so glad he is going to be a part of our wedding day.

Kyle is Alyssa's youngest brother and it is really great having him live just down the street. Over the years Kyle and I have grown closer and we really appreciates that he is always there for us. Even though, like Alyssa, he is a Red Sox fan I have learned to look past that as he soon will be my brother in law. Alyssa admires Kyle and how hard working he is and that he is always willing to lend a helping hand. Kyky will always have our back and we are so honored he will be a big part of our big day.

Ryan is Alyssa's younger brother and is the most recently married Deffenbaugh. He currently lives in Westchester with his wife Aimee and his cat Towser. In a Red Sox filled Family, Ryan is my only fellow Yankee fan. Alyssa absolutely adores Ryan and really misses having him home but is so happy he found his person and a new place to call home. Ryan is so smart, and the person we always look to for our spelling and grammar checks.. (how does this look Ryan?) Alyssa and I are so grateful him and his wife will be standing up there with us on our big day.

Mark is Alyssa's older brother and someone I really enjoy hanging out with. Mark has a great sense of humor and can always make me laugh. Mark moved home in 2009 when Alyssa got sick and he then met his girlfriend, Ashley. Ashley has kept Mark home which Alyssa is so happy about. Mark is an avid rock climber and knows every fact about the National Parks. Alyssa has always looked up to him and is so glad she got to grow up with a protective big brother. We are so thrilled to have him and Ashley up there with us on our big day.
Joe Sullivan

Joe used to drive Alyssa to High School back in the day but now I have stolen him since our love for soccer has brought us really close. Despite him being a Liverpool fan, I am willing to look past that because his friendship is so valuable to me. He is always there to lend a hand and a listening ear and he is an absolutely stand up guy. Alyssa & I really appreciate him being a part of our big day.

Isabella is Alyssa's little cousin and Alyssa and Bryant are so excited to have her be a part of their big day. Bella loves to work out and make really healthy meals! She is an amazing tumbler and recently made the Principals honor roll in school! Her and Alyssa have in common that they are obsessed with dogs! Alyssa is so proud of the sweet and kind girl she's growing up to be and loves her to pieces.

Our sweet flower girl is the most precious little baby girl, Emma. Emma is the daughter of our wonderful friends Matt & Amanda. She is two years old and she is a chatty little girl, and has all the best things to say. She’s so funny, and in fact hopes to become a tall Giraffe when she grows up. She’s sweet, and she’s smart and she’s going to be the perfect little addition to our wedding. We love her dearly! Emma’s dad says we can expect to find her out on the dance floor with her “stuffies” to the song “I love trash” by the one & only, Oscar the grouch.

Dominic is Alyssa's godson and he is 8 years old and in second grade! He is such a bright light in Alyssa's life and she absolutely adores him. He loves football and soccer and is a great big brother! Dominic is a super smarty pants!! Alyssa and Bryant are so honored and excited to have Dominic be a part of their big day!!

Jill is Alyssa’s moms life long friend from childhood. Alyssa has always looked up to Jill, and always adored her. Jill is a successful business woman, amazing activist and just an all around rock star. She’s an amazing woman, and always there for Alyssa when she needs it, and it just made perfect sense that she be the officiant for the wedding! She will be the well spoken and calming presence that Alyssa and Bryant will need on their big day! They are honored to have her be a part of their big day!
