Ben's brother, Chris was dating my friend Mary and we all met up at a staged reading of Macbeth in downtown Louisville in October 2014. Ben was obviously interested right away. I had no intention of dating as I was planning a move out of state, but I couldn't help wanting to hang out with him more. What can I say? He makes me laugh! We continued to hang out in group settings until one day Ben asked me on an actual date. We hit things off and started hanging out almost every day. We became "official" on New Years Eve 2014. Almost 6 years later we eloped in a beautiful and intimate ceremony in Red River Gorge. We are thrilled to finally be celebrating our love with all of friends and family.

One of our favorite family games is 'Hide and Seek'. One night (I was 8 months pregnant with Riley) we were playing and it was my turn to count. Ben and Caroline ran off to hide together and I found them in our bedroom closet. When I opened the door, Caroline handed me a small jewelry box and I immediately knew. I actually don't think Ben even asked me to marry him, but I said yes. I was completely caught off guard and I'm so glad Caroline was involved.
