Question

IS THERE PARKING FOR THE CEREMONY AND RECEPTION?

Answer

There will be parking available at the fish hatchery and there will be people helping guide you on where to park. Keep in mind that guests are still expected to walk to the ceremony and reception site which is a .3 mile uphill walk on gravel road. Special accommodations can be made for those with disabilities and the elderly.

Question

ARE KIDS WELCOME?

Answer

If kids are listed on your RSVP, then they are welcome. If you plan to bring your kids, please be mindful of them during the ceremony and reception. If your child is unable to remain quiet during the ceremony, we ask that you please exit so that the bride and groom have an uninterrupted ceremony. We are happy to have kids there but please remember this is a wedding.

Question

WHAT IS THE BEST AIRPORT TO FLY TO?

Answer

Denver International Airport (DEN) is the recommended airport to fly in to for those traveling by plane. Leadville is a 2 hour drive west (without traffic) from DIA. We recommend renting a car at the airport for the drive up.

Question

WHAT IS LEADVILLE’S ELEVATION?

Answer

Leadville is located at 10,000ft altitude which makes basic things like walking and breathing harder for those coming from lower elevations. To avoid altitude sickness, you should drink lots of water and be cautious of your alcohol consumption. You can also decide to ascend slowly by staying in Denver for a night. Oxygen bottles are available at most grocery stores and gas stations.
