We're getting married

Steve & Aly met in NYC at a rooftop, it was July 2022, peak of summer, lots of people, they were both waiting for their checks; but many of you do not know that how it actually happened…. How She Remembers It That day it was my sisters birthday, she was supposed to come to the rooftop but she couldn’t make it. I was about to leave but I was waiting for my check for almost 10 minutes, when I saw Steve, he was also there for quite a bit, he looked a little annoyed and impatient, so I asked him if he speaks Spanish, he smiled and said “Yes, I am colombian”, we started talking for almost two hours that day! He asked for my number and we had our first date two weeks after that day and we made it official on October 2022. Since the moment I met him, I felt safe, respected, seen and loved. Things were happening really fast and I tried to slow everything down but I couldn’t. On January 2023, we decided to moved to California together, both of us chasing our dreams, unsure of everything but with high hopes for the future. Since then, it has been 2 years of living together, travels and adventures, raising a dog, moving, road trips, attending baseball games (Steve) and concerts (Aly), learning, painting, dancing and growing together but above all loving each other more and more! Steve makes me want to be a better person and I can’t wait to be his wife. Thank you for being part of our lives and let’s celebrate together! How He Remembers It I decided to go out with some friends in Manhattan and went to a rooftop bar, after spending the afternoon their we decided to start leaving but I remembered I needed to close out my check. Being that it was summertime in the heart of New York City, the bar was busy so I was waiting for quite some time until I finally got helped out. Just before I got helped though, someone introduced themselves to me and I was instantly in awe. That was the moment our story began. Soon after that first encounter, I had asked Alyson out on a date. We had dinner and played mini golf; that first date turned into two into us seeing each other before and after work - into us officially becoming a couple in October of 2022. We went on a trip to the Bay Area in California a month later and two months after that trip left everything we've both called home and moved to Napa, California together. Being so far away, all we've had is one another and I am forever grateful that I have Aly to share my life with. Between moving to a different city, vacationing, taking care of one another in sickness, growing together, and the long conversations and range of topics we have shared with one another over a glass of wine; I wouldn't change the outcome for anything in the world.
