Flight
We'd suggest you connect to Bordeaux airport from Charles De Gaulle if you prefer to fly Bordeaux Mérignac Airport ~1 hr drive Bergerac Dordogne Périgord Airport ~45 min drive Both airports have major car-hire options, and the drive to the château is straightforward.
Train
If you prefer to take the train from Charles De Gaulle, the nearest train station is Libourne or Castillon-la-Bataille which are right next to Saint-Émilion. You may find it easier to take the speed-train to Bordeaux and rent a car. From Paris to Bordeaux: Approx. 2 hours via TGV From Paris to Libourne/Castillon-la-Bataille: Approx. 3-3.5 hours via TGV Important note for guests taking the fast TGV: The newer Atlantic TGV reaches Bordeaux in just over 2 hours but does not stop at Libourne or Castillon-la-Bataille. Saint-Émilion is a 30-40 minute drive from the Bordeaux train station.
Travel Note
The Chateau Staff highly recommend guests hire a car, especially if staying in the surrounding countryside. All major car hire companies are available at both Bordeaux and Bergerac airports. Many airlines offer discounts via their car hire partners.
