How We Met

Jared and I met shortly before my sister married his best friend in 2014. As luck would have it we were both in the bridal party, I was the Maid of Honor and Jared was the Best Man. Back then, as we walked down the aisle together, neither of us knew just how important the person next to us would become. Now, six years later, we're ready to walk down that same aisle... only this time as husband and wife.

The Proposal

02.15.2020

Jared proposed in Sioux Falls, the day after Valentines Day, at Texas Road House. We were sitting in two different booths as we had a large group of people with us that night. After we were done eating, I got up to go sit in Jared's booth not knowing that Jared was planning on asking me that night. Jared turned around and said something to my mom and Bridget. I heard my mom ask "Now?" She then told Jared to tell my dad (who was sitting in his way) that he needed to get up to go to the bathroom. My dad was oblivious and Bridget ended up hitting his shoulder and loudly told my dad to get up because Jared needed out to "use the bathroom." At this point, I knew something was going on but it didn't occur to me that he was going to propose that night. Jared got out of the booth and talked to my mom and Bridget for a moment and turned around, got the ring box out of his pocket, walked up to me, got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I immediately shook my head yes as I began to tear up.
