On a sunny Sunday in March, Alyson went home to Chincoteague for a lunch/girls day with her best friends, but little did she know, Austin had set the whole thing up! After a great lunch, someone suggested a walk in the waterfront park, so the girls headed that way. They even stopped to talk to one of Alyson's high school friends who just happened to be at the park taking pictures of her baby (she's a professional photographer) - and Alyson still had no idea something was up! Austin, his family, and Alyson's family were secretly watching all of this happen from their hiding spots. After the girls sat down on a bench in front of the water, Austin swooped in behind them. He suddenly appeared in front of Alyson on the bench, guided her over to the dock, and got down on one knee. Alyson was so excited that she got down too, and Austin had to tell her to "stand up!" HAHA. His first words during the proposal were "I like your butt" - a line from their favorite TV show, Brooklyn 99. After saying "Of course!" Alyson turned to see all of her friends, family, and Austin's family there. There was even a surprise photographer (Alyson's friend - duh) and videographer set up by her sister to capture the special moments. It was truly the most magical day in both of our lives thus far, and we both know that the wedding will be just as special. We can't wait to celebrate with you all there!
