Jake and Aly’s love story began in 2020 the modern way—with a few carefully crafted Snapchat and Instagram messages from Jake, who was clearly on a mission. His persistence paid off, and when they finally met in person, the connection was instant. However, it was Jake’s cats, Snickers and Pebbles, who truly stole the show by falling completely in love with Aly (possibly even more than Jake ever expected—and he’s still coming to terms with it). After about a year and a half of laughter, love, and cat cuddles, the two moved in together. In May 2024, Jake proposed with a ring that he proudly showed to Aly’s dad before his sudden passing—a deeply meaningful moment that remains close to both of their hearts. Shortly after the proposal, they adopted Nyla, their third (and most dramatic) cat, who rounded out the fur family perfectly. These days, Aly and Jake share a life full of adventure and joy. Whether they’re traveling the world, skiing down snowy slopes, soaking in the sun at the beach, fishing, cooking something delicious, or arguing over which plant is dying in the garden—it’s clear they’ve found their forever teammate in each other.
