Our story began with a little nudge from God—and from Ducky, the mutual friend who insisted we meet. Alysha and Ducky worked together at a nursing facility, and one day he walked into the rehab gym convinced that Alysha needed to meet his family friend through a blind date. Although she was hesitant about a blind date, Ducky’s persistence eventually won her over. Before meeting, X did what anyone would do—looked her up. Alysha’s Pinterest profile appeared, and from that moment he had a feeling this might be something special. Specially since she was looking good in her profile photo. After a few days of texting back and forth, their schedules finally aligned, and that first date sealed everything. They’ve been inseparable ever since.
